Bovine collagen type IV (atelocollagen) purified from placenta, sterile and lyophilised, 1 mg — the basement-membrane collagen, supplied as a coating substrate for cell culture and as an immunoassay antigen. Mild pepsin treatment removes the telopeptides, lowering cross-species antigenicity while preserving the type IV network-forming domain structure. Use as the bovine counterpart of human collagen type IV cat. 425; the bovine fibrillar collagens cat. 437 (type I atelocollagen), cat. 576 (type III atelocollagen) and cat. 184 (type V atelocollagen) complete the bovine ECM panel.

STORAGE / RECONSTITUTION
Dissolve in 20 mM acetic acid; shake or stir for several hours or overnight at 2–8 °C. The material is dissolved when the suspension appears homogeneous with no schlieren pattern. Recommended concentration 1–5 mg/mL. Ships at ambient temperature. Store lyophilised protein 2 years at −20 °C or lower; store reconstituted protein 1 month at +4 °C.
