Bovine collagen type V (atelocollagen) purified from placenta, sterile and lyophilised, 1 mg — the minor fibrillar collagen that nucleates and regulates type I fibril diameter, supplied as a cell-culture coating substrate and immunoassay antigen. Mild pepsin treatment removes the telopeptides, lowering cross-species antigenicity while preserving the triple-helical domain. The bovine counterpart of human collagen type V cat. 436; completes the bovine ECM panel with type I cat. 437, type III cat. 576 and type IV cat. 148.

STORAGE / RECONSTITUTION
Dissolve in 20 mM acetic acid; shake or stir for several hours or overnight at 2–8 °C. The material is dissolved when the suspension appears homogeneous with no schlieren pattern. Recommended concentration 1–5 mg/mL. Ships at ambient temperature. Store lyophilised protein 2 years at −20 °C or lower; store reconstituted protein 1 month at +4 °C.
