Mouse monoclonal antibody against Taq DNA polymerase from Thermus aquaticus, supplied as a 10 mg/mL solution, 100 mg. The antibody binds and inhibits Taq polymerase at ambient temperature and is released on heat denaturation during the initial PCR denaturation step — the classic hot-start PCR mechanism, which suppresses primer-dimer formation and non-specific amplification. A high-purity (> 97 % IgG1), DNA- and RNA-free preparation intended for research use or further manufacturing of hot-start PCR and qPCR master mixes.

APPLICATIONS
- Hot-start PCR — inhibits Taq at ambient temperature (~0.8 µg antibody per unit of Taq); inhibition is released during the initial 95 °C denaturation step.
- Hot-start master-mix manufacturing — DNA- and RNA-free, bulk 100 mg format for further manufacturing.
- qPCR and diagnostic PCR — reduces primer-dimer and non-specific amplification, improving sensitivity and specificity.
APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS — HIGH-VALUE RESEARCH NICHES
- Hot-start PCR / qPCR master-mix production at manufacturing scale.
- Molecular-diagnostic PCR assays where specificity and low background are critical.
- Multiplex PCR — suppression of primer-dimer artefacts.
- DNA/RNA-free grade for nucleic-acid-sensitive workflows.
