Porcine collagen types I and III (atelocollagen), extracted from washed dissected tissue by pepsin digestion in dilute acetic acid and purified by differential salt precipitation, supplied sterile, lyophilised and salt-free, 25 mg. Telopeptide-depleted (atelo) collagen that dissolves in dilute acetic acid and reassembles into a fibrillar 3-D gel on neutralisation at 37 °C. Use as a cell-culture coating substrate and 3-D gel matrix — the mixed type I/III blend complements the pure native porcine type I preparation cat. 882 and the 30 mg porcine atelocollagen cat. 130, and pairs with the anti-porcine collagen type I + III antibody cat. 386 for detection.
