Rabbit polyclonal antibody against native human collagen type I (COL1A1 / COL1A2), affinity-purified on immobilised human collagen I and cross-adsorbed against other human collagens and plasma proteins, 1 mL. Type-I-specific for the native triple-helical fold — no cross-reactivity to other collagen types or plasma proteins. The native-conformation reagent for collagen-I ELISA (use cat. 288 human collagen I antigen as the standard) and frozen-section IHC of dermal, bone, tendon and fibrotic tissue. Pairs with the mouse mAb cat. 393 (clone DBH 428) for sandwich assays. Not suitable for denaturing conditions.

APPLICATIONS
- ELISA — detection of human collagen I (starting dilution 1:3 000); use cat. 288 (human collagen I antigen) as the standard, or pair with the mouse mAb cat. 393 for sandwich ELISA.
- IHC (frozen sections) — collagen-I histochemistry of dermal, bone, tendon and fibrotic tissue (starting dilution 1:20).
- Cell culture / ECM staining — collagen-I matrix deposited by fibroblasts and osteoblasts.
- Note: native-conformation antibody — not suitable for denaturing conditions.
APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS — HIGH-VALUE RESEARCH NICHES
- Fibrosis research — collagen-I deposition in dermal, hepatic, pulmonary, renal and cardiac fibrosis.
- Bone and tendon biology — type-I collagen in musculoskeletal tissue.
- Tumour stroma — collagen-I by cancer-associated fibroblasts.
- Collagen-scaffold / tissue-engineering QC.
