Rabbit polyclonal antibody against native bovine collagen type I + III (heterotypic blend), affinity-purified on immobilised bovine collagen I+III and cross-absorbed against other bovine collagens and bovine plasma proteins, 1 mL. Dual-specificity (balanced anti-I + anti-III) for the native I/III heterotypic-fibril readout in bovine tissue — cardiovascular (bovine MI, calf cardiac), wound-healing, biomaterial / xenograft characterisation, decellularised-ECM scaffold QC and veterinary fibrosis pathology. Use cat. 634 (bovine collagen I+III antigen) as the ELISA standard, and QC bovine collagen biomaterials such as cat. 631 (bovine collagen I) and cat. 437 (bovine atelocollagen 3D-gel). Optimised for native-conformation work (ELISA, frozen-section IHC) — not suitable for denaturing conditions.

STORAGE / RECONSTITUTION
Reconstitute with 1 mL sterile pure water. Ships at ambient temperature. Store lyophilised antibody 2 years at -20 °C or lower; store reconstituted antibody at +4 °C up to 4 weeks, or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
APPLICATIONS
- ELISA — total-fibrillar-collagen detection in bovine tissue lysate / biomaterial extract. Pair with cat. 634 (bovine collagen I+III antigen, 10 mg) on the immobilised arm.
- IHC (frozen sections) — bovine MI / cardiac infarct scar, bovine vascular adventitia, bovine intestinal fibrosis (Johne’s disease), bovine mammary tissue (mastitis).
- Cell culture / ECM staining — immunostaining of ECM in cell culture and decellularised-ECM scaffold characterisation.
- Biomaterial QC — bovine collagen biomaterials: cat. 437 (bovine atelocollagen 3D-gel), cat. 631 (bovine collagen I), cat. 634 (bovine I+III).
- Note: native-conformation antibody — not suitable for denatured Western blot.
APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS — HIGH-VALUE RESEARCH NICHES
- Bovine biomaterial QC — confirmation of intact bovine collagen identity in supplied research-grade collagen lots.
- Bovine decellularised-ECM scaffold quantification for cardiac / vascular / dermal tissue engineering.
- Bovine collagen xenograft / dermal-filler-precursor characterisation.
- Bovine veterinary fibrosis pathology — Johne’s disease intestinal-wall fibrosis, mastitis-associated mammary fibrosis, hoof and tendon disorders.
