STORAGE / RECONSTITUTION
Reconstitute with 0.5 mL sterile pure water; mix gently by inversion, do not vortex. Ships at ambient temperature. Store lyophilised antibody 2 years at -20 °C or lower; store reconstituted antibody at +4 °C up to 4 weeks, or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
APPLICATIONS
- ELISA — detection of human collagen type V (starting dilution 1:3 000) as the detection arm on plate-bound collagen V. Validated for anti-collagen-V IgG autoantibody titres in patient sera (lung-transplant), using cat. 436 (human collagen V antigen, placenta-derived) as the immobilised antigen.
- IHC (frozen sections) — human skin (dermal-papillary I/V fibril), cornea (Bowman membrane) and vascular ECM (starting dilution 1:20); no antigen retrieval typically required.
- Cell culture / ECM staining — type-V-positive fibrillar networks deposited by primary fibroblasts and corneal keratocytes.
- FFPE — not formally validated; for routine FFPE collagen-V IHC use the mouse mAb cat. 488 (clone MC5-HA).
- Note: native-conformation antibody — Western blot not recommended.
