Mouse monoclonal antibody against the intact ricin holotoxin (whole AB heterodimer, ~64 kDa) of Ricinus communis (castor bean), clone MMH, 0.05 mg. Binds the bioactive intact ricin AB heterodimer; the companion clone cat. 174 (MMA) recognises free / dissociated RTA, so pairing the two enables intact-holotoxin-versus-free-RTA discrimination. For intact-ricin sandwich ELISA, lateral-flow and bead-based immunoassays, IHC, non-reducing Western blot, and biodefense / antitoxin research.

STORAGE / RECONSTITUTION
Reconstitute with 50 µL sterile pure water (1 mg/mL stock). Ships at ambient temperature. Store lyophilised antibody 2 years at -20 °C or lower; store reconstituted antibody at +4 °C up to 4 weeks, or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
APPLICATIONS
- ELISA — intact-ricin detection as the capture or detection arm; the classical sandwich uses cat. 177 as immobilised capture with cat. 174 (RTA) detection, and the two-clone configuration discriminates intact ricin from free RTA.
- Lateral-flow / bead-based immunoassays — custom lateral-flow strips and Luminex MagPlex multiplex assays.
- IHC — intact ricin in intoxicated tissue specimens; the whole-molecule epitope marks extracellular / surface-bound toxin.
- Western blot (non-reducing) — detects the intact ricin holotoxin (~64 kDa AB heterodimer); for reduced-WB detection of the RTA A-chain (~32 kDa) use cat. 174.
- Immunotoxin / ADC characterisation — detects intact-ricin contamination in immunotoxin production; together with cat. 174 gives a two-readout impurity profile.
APPLICATION HIGHLIGHTS — HIGH-VALUE RESEARCH NICHES
- Antitoxin vaccine / neutralisation studies — reference detection reagent for ricin-neutralisation assays and residual-intact-ricin / plasma-clearance kinetics.
- Immunotoxin / ADC impurity QC — intact-ricin contamination readout, paired with cat. 174 for a full impurity profile.
- Biodefense / forensic ricin detection — intact-holotoxin-specific detection.
- Custom conjugation — the stable lyophilised 0.05 mg unit is suitable for HRP / biotin conjugation.
